🎶 RADIO NIKKEI is currently airing a special three-part series dedicated to the legendary Canadian jazz pianist Oscar Peterson, in celebration of his centennial year. The segment is part of our weekday Expo-themed program “Sakutto Shittoku! Expo Topic”, broadcast every weekday morning just after 8 AM.

📻 The first episode (aired on July 16) introduces Canada's commitment to Expo 2025, Oscar Peterson’s life and legacy, and the incredible musicians behind the Oscar Peterson Centennial Quartet:
Ulf Wakenius, Robi Botos, Jim Doxas, and Mike Downes.
Missed it? You can catch it anytime via radiko.

🎷 In the upcoming episodes (July 23 & 30), we’ll feature exclusive interviews with the quartet members, who performed live at the Expo site in June — honoring Oscar’s spirit through their powerful music.
This is a rare chance to hear directly from world-class jazz artists continuing Oscar’s legacy. Don’t miss it!
